Silhouette Dance Club is a St Helens based dance school offering classes to budding dancers of all ages from ages early years (18 months+) to adult. Marie and Kevin Smith have been owners of The Silhouette Academy of Dance for almost 40 years. Marie is a former Ballroom World Cabaret Champion having competed all over the World and on the QE2.  We have over 8 qualified dance teachers in all styles of dance which include Street, Commercial, Cheer, Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, Jive, Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Pole fitness, Heels, Acro, Clubersize, and Barre. 

 

We offer classes in a variety of dance styles with a FREE first class to non-members in a style of your choice!

The Silhouette has two dance/function air conditioned studios complete with a waiting/lounge area for parents to relax whilst their dancers are in class. We have classes for children as young as 18 months up to adults all on a flexible pay as you go system. Our 2022 showcase 'Dancing In The Decades' has over 150 performers and 600 spectators and was a huge success.

 

We are a family orientated Dance Academy which offers family nights, children's parties, summer schools, Halloween and Christmas parties. At the end of each term we present a pupil with an Achievement Trophy to hold for three months. The Silhouette has raised funds for several charities which include Willowbrook Hospice, Woodlands Hospice and Ukraine appeal fund by putting on dance displays, raffles, cake sales etc.  We have had over three generations of pupils, some of which have gone on to join the Royal Ballet and also won the under 21yrs British championships in Ballroom.

At Silhouette Dance Club we pride ourselves on offering a space for budding dancers to flourish, building their technical dance ability in an encouraging and supportive whilst making new friends on their journey. Dancers are welcome to join as individuals, couples and groups. We regularly host social events as a school including Halloween and Christmas parties.
